Certified sustainable walnut

The collection

Every room, considered.

Hand tools and sketches on the wall of the Nordwood atelier

The atelier

Furniture is not made.
It is raised.

For twenty-five years our workshop has worked a single material — slow-grown European walnut — into pieces that outlive trends, owners, and sometimes houses.

  • Single-origin timber

Every board traced to the forest it grew in. Dried for three years, never rushed.

  • Joinery, not hardware

Dovetails and wedged tenons where others use screws. Nothing to loosen, ever.

  • A 50-year guarantee

We stand behind every joint for half a century — in writing.

Why Nordwood

Quiet reasons to choose us.

Materials without compromise

Slow-grown walnut, full-grain leather, undyed linen. Nothing engineered, nothing veneered.

Designed around you

Every commission begins with your rooms, your light, your life — never a catalogue.

One pair of hands

Each piece is built start-to-finish by a single master joiner who signs their work.

Forests we replant

Three trees planted for every one we harvest, in partnership with Nordic foresters.

White-glove delivery

Our own team installs, levels, and finishes every piece in place. No couriers, no crates.

Guaranteed for 50 years

A written structural guarantee that transfers to the next owner — and the one after.

The process

From first sketch
to final polish.

  1. 01

    Consultation

We visit your home, listen, and measure. You talk — we sketch.

  2. 02

    Design

Drawings, material samples and a 1:1 detail you can hold in your hands.

  3. 03

    Crafting

Six to ten weeks at the bench. We send photographs as the grain emerges.

  4. 04

    Installation

Our team delivers, installs and hand-finishes every piece in place.

Client words

Trusted in quiet homes.

“The dining table arrived three weeks before our daughter's wedding. Twenty years from now it will be at hers. That was always the point.”
Astrid Lindqvist Homeowner, Stockholm
“I specify Nordwood on every residential project. Their tolerances embarrass my contractors — and their clients never call me twice.”
Henrik Foss Architect, Foss & Berg Studio
“They refused to build what I first asked for and proposed something simpler. It is the best piece in the house. That honesty is rare.”
Camille Moreau Interior designer, Paris
